Originally hailing from Murchison New Zealand, Country Singer - Songwriter Rhys Warner now calls Perth WA home. Rhys is proud to announce the release of his debut single ‘Holding a Good Hand’, lifted from his brand new album ‘Songs Wot I Like & Songs Wot I Rit’. The album is a combination of his own original compositions and songs that Rhys has fallen in love with.
“What drew me to ''holding a good hand first was the great country melody, with the intro of a great country guitar riff, and lyrically about finding that ''true love'' in your life, holding on and never letting go. As the intro -lyrics say, love is a gamble, you can win or lose. Holding a good hand was a must to put on my CD.” Rhys
Originally written by R. Crosby & J. Few, Rhys has drawn on the amazing talent of Producer and Arranger Mike McCarthy to bring his song to life. His album has been Recorded at Manuka Studios, Orewa, Auckland. Rhys has crafted the lead guitar, vocals and harmony whilst all sequenced instruments were in the capable hands of Mike McCarthy.
To his credit, Warner can boast winning numerous awards and the instrumental section at the country awards at Gore and Christchurch in New Zealand, including receiving a Golden Guitar award at Gore.
Rhys has performed extensively throughout Queensland & New South Wales Australia.
